Rampage Frameless Soft Top = Good Affordable Replacement, January 19, 2012 By This review is from: Rampage 109635 frameless Sailcloth Trail Top with Tinted Windows in Black Diamond for 04-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ Unlimited. installs over the original equipment factory roll bar for a snug fit without the need for additional bows or support hardware. (Electronics) Just replaced my Original LJ Softtop with a Rampage Frameless Softtop. Found top installation was okay, not easy, not impossible. Had the most trouble with the portion that tucks in above the doors. The top is slightly noisier than the original, but has noticably less drag when driven. Was able to install the top in 35 degree temperature by turning on the jeep's heater, and then taking my time, allowing the material to warm and then stretch. Have found the visibility a big plus over the original. Blind spot on the right rear of the vehicle is gone, and the windows are more transparent. I do have concerns now, because depite the tinting, I can now see inside my vehicle from the exterior, whereas, items in the rear of the vehicle could not be seen with the original top. I was not sure of what I would think of the two straps on the backside, but like them because the take the tension off the side windows, and the original soft top always wanted to slide around the corner when the...
