1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Don't be fooled by its simplistic looks!, February 23, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: PIE TOY03-AUX2 Auxiliary RCA Audio Input for Select 2003-2010 Toyota Group Vehicles (Electronics) Granted I just installed this product today and that I'm no audiophile, this auxiliary input device works perfectly! It did not come with the audio cable to plug into your mp3 player, but I had my own. As far as volume level goes, it's comparable to using CD's or some high quality FM stations without having to increase the volume. Installation was easy and relatively quick thanks to an installation video I found online. I also recommend getting the Poly-Planar adapter Poly-Planar MP3/iPod/Satellite Radio Adapter so you can install an input jack into the dash which connects with this device.
Great product for your car, February 18, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: PIE TOY03-AUX2 Auxiliary RCA Audio Input for Select 2003-2010 Toyota Group Vehicles (Electronics) This product solves the problem of how to use your iPod or MP3 player in cars that don't have auxilliary inputs. It was easy to install, I looked it up on the internet and watched a video. It took about 15 minutes. It works great, plugs directly into the factory radio.
Works Perfectly with 2008 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner SR5 TRD, February 3, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: PIE TOY03-AUX2 Auxiliary RCA Audio Input for Select 2003-2010 Toyota Group Vehicles (Electronics) This unit took about 30 minutes to install and works great. It took longer to figure out how to neatly run the wire for the MP3 player than it did to install the adapter in the dash. I found a photo slideshow for removing the factory radio, which helped tremendously. My truck had an area to the right of the radio where I could stash the unit and secure it with wire ties to keep it from rattling. I bought a 6' wire for the MP3 player and ran it under the center console and up through the center storage compartment (which I had to partially disassemble), where the wire can be stored when not in use or pulled out when using the MP3 player.
The unit works using the DISC button on the factory radio. Press it once to listen to a CD. Press it again to listen to your MP3 player.
I highly recommend this product for Toyota Tacoma trucks.
