I give them 2 stars because they do work and they do reproduce low frequencies. They sound ok when you are parked but as you start driving you don't really here them anymore. Bought them as a replacement for the Bose 6x9 subs that came in my Nissan. They come with a large(30 ounce)magnet that looks impressive. Have played with them for a couple of hours increasing the ohm load to lower the power to 250 rms@4ohms. Was running 500 rms@2ohms. Just not very happy with them at all. I know that ideally you don't get much bass out of 6x9 speakers, but I have before in the past and the factory Bose sounded so much better. Plan on getting the Infinity Kappa 6x9s for around $50 less and let the JL Audio subs handle everything below 125hz. These may work out better in a small box, in a small hatchback, or in a single cab pickup.
